Play Therapy helps kids make sense of difficult experiences.
Kids learn skills and strategies to help them cope going forward.
Unfortunately, sometimes life is difficult for our kids. Young children are not developmentally equipped to be able to talk through emotional struggles. For kids, their primary language is play. Specially trained therapists can meet kids where they are at and utilize play to help children work through difficulties.
WFC offers play therapy for kids aged 3 and up to help kids make sense of difficult experiences, as well as, to learn skills and strategies to help them cope going forward. Play therapy has been shown to be effective with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, social struggles, trauma, divorce, anger issues, behavior problems, and ADHD to name a few.
Play therapy is a special way of counseling children using their natural first language, play, to help them work through difficult seasons. Play therapists are trained to engage with children in a way that is easy for kids to receive, to help move them toward healthier emotional functioning.
